Statement re: Coronavirus

 

At a meeting of the Executive Committee of Cippenham Table Tennis Club this evening (Tuesday 17 March) it was decided to close from 11 pm tonight until further notice.

This follows advice given today by Table Tennis England to clubs and leagues and the announcement of the cancellation or postponement of all sanctioned Table Tennis England events from now until 30 April.

​

We live in uncertain times and the Club will be monitoring further advice as and when it is received. The health and wellbeing of our members and others that use our facilities remains our foremost priority.

​

In consequence, all our weekly Tuesday and Thursday practice sessions and Monday, Wednesday and Thursday coaching groups are suspended for the duration. The Maidenhead League already made the decision yesterday to suspend the season until further notice.

The following events have been cancelled: Regional Qualification Event (scheduled for 21 March); National Cadet Cup (28/29 March); Cippenham Super 6 Senior 2-Star Open (26 April).

​

The following event has been postponed: Senior British League 4th weekend (4/5 April).

​

We hope that all our members stay safe and well in the coming weeks and months and that we will be able to resume operations as soon as possible.
