Cadet British Clubs League Day 1 - 30 November 2025
The Cadet British Clubs League commenced, rather belatedly for the season, on Sunday with twenty-four teams descending on Cippenham for the first of four days' play. The teams were split into six divisions comprising four teams each and promotion and relegation will operate between the divisions at the end of each day's play. The host club fielded three teams, as it did in the previous season, and all three teams made promising starts to the new campaign.

Cippenham A were placed in a highly competitive Division 3 and finished second, sandwiched between two other teams who each won twice and lost one match throughout the day. Cippenham started with a 6-3 win over bottom-placed Chiltern B and followed this up with the same scoreline against divisional leaders Crusaders B. However, the day concluded with a disappointing defeat by the same score against Kingfisher C who, nevertheless, finished one point behind Cippenham at the close. Armaan Koteshwar led the way for Cippenham with seven wins from his nine matches and picked up the player of the match nomination against Chiltern while he was supported by Anish Adapa with five wins and Nayan Yelkur with three.

Cippenham B topped Division 5 and secured promotion next time around. After losing their first match 5-4 against Graham Spicer 8, they won both their next two matches, 8-1 against Warren Spring C and 5-4 against Ashford C. Yuvan Varshney, who won eight matches, and Ayush Kulkarni, only one win behind, both gained a player of the match nomination, while Ignacy Jaraszek supported with two wins.

Likewise, the Cippenham C team won Division 6 and they won all of their matches. Both Saavan Hunjan, who was nominated player of the match all three times, and Simon Powell, remained unbeaten throughout the day while Shreyas Wagle supported with six wins from his nine matches. The team's results were emphatic: 7-2 in the opener against Graham Spicer 9, 9-0 against Crusaders D and, finally, 8-1 against Ashford D.
