Junior coaching has been a very important part of the Club's activities for thirty years, lead by accredited and qualified Head Coach Ken Phillips, the recipient of many local, regional and national awards for his dedication and quality of the services that he provides. The Club has generated over twenty players who have progressed to represent their countries in various age categories. Ken is assisted by more qualified coaches: Sue Hayes, Jan Chapman and Tony Jackson.
Beginners start with the Thursday early evening (5:15 to 7:15) session where they are taught the basics. When ready, they are then invited to the advanced session on Monday evenings. The very best performing and dedicated are later invited to the Wednesday elite group where they will receive more specialist coaching.
Ken also coaches the most promising players on a one-to-one basis at his absolute discretion.
