Rajan wins at first attempt
New member Rajan Waterman has won the latest Grand Prix at his first attempt. Rajan is an accomplished layer and has done well in recent open tournaments at Cippenham. He was an ever present over the six weeks of the Grand Prix and won three of the weekly events. The others were won by Steve Buck, Ricky Hardcastle and Ed Mitchell. Ricky came second overall and the only other ever present, Graham Trimming, finished third.
Altogether, 30 players took part in the six competitions with attendances ranging from 9 to 14. This represents a large improvement over attendances during the latter part of the winter before the break for the Club Championships.
