Committee down to six

In the current circumstances, with too few volunteers to deliver the Club’s range of activities, a poorly attended Annual General Meeting was just what was not needed. And yet, that is what we got.

A disappointing turn-out largely by only the already committed plus three Committee members not putting themselves forward for re-election resulted in a downsizing of the Management Committee to just six people.

The first meeting of the new Committee will have to decide how much of the current activity schedule can be supported by such a small Committee and what will have to be scrapped. A reduction in activities could have the obvious downward effect on income which, in turn, could result in members’ fees having to be increased.

The Officers and Management Committee members elected were:

Chairman: Graham Trimming

Deputy Chairman: Sue Hayes

General Secretary: Graham Trimming

Treasurer: Peter Hillier

Club Captain: Steve Smith

Bookings Officer: Peter Hillier

Social Officer: position vacant

Public Relations Officer: position vacant

Coaching Officer: position vacant

Events Officer: Steve Smith

Management Committee members: Martin Adams, Terry Boxall

In addition, Filippo Rotunno was re-elected as Auditor.

Catering is the greatest concern for next season. Without good catering provision much of the rest of the weekend programme could collapse. If any member has an idea of how to overcome this or could make a business proposition to the Club please email info@cippenhamttc.co.uk with your suggestion.
